Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is a progress monitoring software assessment in use at the Jackson City Schools.  The Jackson City Library has labeled its Juvenile books with the appropriate AR level.  These levels are based on grade/reading level as assessed by AR.

Book Sale

 Book Sales are held semi-annually:  Apple Festival week (3rd week of September) and National Library Week (2nd week of April)

All types of materials are available at the semi-annual book sale including popular fiction, mass market paperbacks, dvds, audiobooks, and reference materials.

Hardbacks are .50 each or 3/$1.00

Paperbacks are .25 each or 5/$1.00

Audiobooks and dvds are $1.00 each.

Toddler Storytime

Toddler Storytime is a program for children 18 months up to 3 years.  Babies and their caregivers are invited to participate in songs, games, and fingerplays designed for toddlers.

Toddlers meet in October, December, February, April, and July on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.

Registration is required to attend Toddler Storytime.
